Default Shipping cap and ball black powder revolver

I have read info that says it is ok to ship black powder revolvers by USPS.

Is there any "tips" or suggestions that you can give to avoid potential issues or problems? I was told to insure it and to mark the contents as "machined parts".

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

I have never had a single issue. ATF does not consider a ball and cap to be a firearm for most uses of the term.

The one time I was asked, I answered that it was a museum replica.

It's kind of funny. I once had my roommate pick up a b&c revolver for me with a blank check I had signed.... Everything about that deal was suspect, lol.
This space for rent.... to Conservatives.
