    Default Friend with leukemia

Prayers are being said with my friend having leukemia ..... I want him to be successfull with his fight ...... BUT ...... Doc sez december might be it ...... He has said that his firearms are to be willed to me ..... Should I take them for safe keeping without a transfer and take them out of the will ...... His family will not accept the fact he owns firearms and don't want them to go to scrap even though in his will they are left to me ..... I have not been in this situation or heard of this ...... Should I ask for them without a transfer because PA you don't have to register a hand gun ..... What is legal ????
    What say you

Since a will is a binding legal document I don't think it would be legal for the executor of the will to not let you have them as long as your are not a restricted person. I still think you may have to have them transferred to your name, however, I am not a lawyer so all of what I just said could be baloney. Your best bet is to get advice from an attorney on the matter.
