Is the data pulled up in PICS the same as that a resident can obtain in a criminal background check through the Pennsylvania State Police? I recently ran into some issues with the law and want to see if i'm able to purchase firearms again once i'm off probation. thanks.

...As a follow up. Could I just have a PICS check ran w/out filling out an atf form or ltcf form? Perhaps the Sheriff could do this for me?

PICS uses more databases than what the PATCH system offers for the PSP search.

Absolutely not. It is federal law that NICS is to only be used for the transfer of a gun(after the form has be filled out) and for carry permits. PICS uses NICS, so that rules that use out.
