Interesting Statistics
Although these statistics were provided by Fox news and are relevant to Canadian crime statistics I thought it was very interesting. I'm sure the US statistics are similar.
Of all homicide cases in Canada from 2003-2009:
4257 Total Homicides
1314 Committed with a Firearm
438 Weapon was found/left at scene
110 Registered firearms
AND
Only 55 of those REGISTERED firearms LEFT AT THE SCENE were used by the registered owner.
Conclusion: Of all the 4237 homicides in Canada over a span of 6 years only 55 of them were determined to have been used by the registered owner.

Re: Interesting Statistics
Canada better start work on banning whatever was used in the 69% of those 4257 homicides that didn't use a firearm!

Re: Interesting Statistics
HAHA very true. I know it doesn't apply to the US and gun laws are different but I just thought it was interesting.
I'd REALLY like to see a statistic like this based upon US homicides.

Re: Interesting Statistics
I guess Chicago would have 0 registered owners committing homicides.
