Default Raystown Lake/ Army Corps of engineers

Does anyone know what the rules are for Raystown Lake and carrying firearms? I havent been up there in a few years and have since acquired my LTCF. I found a 4 year old post on the forum but that's it.

I have no definitive answer, but when I was there a few months ago I saw no signs prohibiting them so maybe that answers your question?

Its a no-carry zone unless you are hunting in the designated hunting areas.

Raystown Lake is owned/managed by the Army Corp of Engineers.

Where is that posted? I couldn't find it, and even though it's the engineers it isn't a military base, and there are no federal buildings....and you an carry in national parks.

Not trying to argue, I just couldn't find the info and want to know to.

Several years ago, my wife went to camp at RaysTown with her sister's family. I had to work that weekend.
I think they went to camp at Susquehannock Campground or Trough Creek State Park(Wife not here to verify at this moment)

While my wife was there, I guess she asked this security lady either at the gate or one come around now and then to check(she thought was either DEC or DCNR. One with khaki shirt with green pants, packing what appeared to be a 3rd gen S&W Semi - Wife thought was 5906. I thought her well. LOL) what was rule regarding carrying concealed firearm as long as we have LTCF.

I guess she said she dont care as long as noone compains, and people aren't shooting at wildlife and none desegnated area(whatever that means).

I realise that this doesn't help as I believe ACE only oprate dam and lake and DCNR is one actually operates all these camp ground.

If owned/Operated by State, then you would be regulated by State law, and if owned/Operated by ACE, I presume federal law would regurate?

I think Seven Point camp ground is owned/operated by Privately, because you can drink alcohol there, which I don't think you can in State owned/operated park?

Here is what DCNR website says regarding carrying firearm

In areas not open to hunting or during non-hunting seasons, firearms and archery equipment shall be kept in the owner's car, trailer or leased campsite. The only exception is that law enforcement officers and individuals with a valid Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms may carry said firearm concealed on their person while they are within the park.

I found this PDF file on ACE site. It says this
    5. All fireworks are prohibited. Loaded
firearms and other projectile firing devices
    are not allowed in campgrounds
    http://raystown.nab.usace.army.mil/C...roundRules.pdf

But says nothing about Mariner/lake/Dam area...

I have CCed there on numerous occasions when camping or just visiting events there. Never having seen a sign that tells me I can't do it, makes me think that I'm allowed.
