I agree with a statement from Mayor Nutter

Probably the only time I'll ever agree with something Mayor Michael Nutter says.

Granted, it was said at the funeral of a Philly Officer who was tragically killed by a drunk driver, and many can say I'm taking it out of context (by definition I am), but when other horrible scenarios are rationally boiled down this logic applies so well, including against the anti-gun rhetoric we all read and hear about.

Mayor Nutters words;

"Much of this could be prevented if people would just do what they're supposed to do and not be irresponsible. Ultimately its always about personal behavior and personal decisions that people make."

That statement should be thrown back at him every time he tries to blame guns instead of the actions of the criminal using them.

The fact that his disdain towards firearms is so known is why his words stood out to me. Quite the double standard.

What are we supposed to do? Whatever he tells us to? Idk if I completely agree, it sounds like he has this thought that we're all supposed to act a certain way and do whatever society expects from us and if that's true no one here would be carrying, just mho

Though I agree with it's all about personal behavior and decisions
