Default Sig P225 and P239 (size difference)

I was bored last night so I decided to take some new pictures. I see alot of posts on what the size difference is between the Sig P225 and the P239. Hope these help.
The P225 has the Pachymayr Signature grips and the P239 has the Hogue finger groves.

Interesting... I am in the market for a 225/p6 and this just sealed the deal... A similar sized slide with a larger grip. Too bad they don't make a Hogue finger rip for the 225....

you wouldn't happen to own a 229 that you size the 225 against as well?

    Yup.
I'll take them after the Flyers game and start a new thread.

Talking Re: Sig P225 and P239 (size difference)

I am sorry to jump in here too, but i can resist. Do you possibly have a p220 vs. a p226 side by side? I would be also interested if you have any other 220's or 226's. I looking to get the 220 carry elite in stainless to carry and I wanted to know the difference between the 220 and 220 carry vs. a full size 226. I know its alot to ask but if you have all 3 of those I owe you my life. If its too much, screw it completly understand.

Yes, I have all three. I'll take the pictures of them together as soon as I can.
The full size P220 and the P226 have the same size slide (holsters are the same). The big difference is in the size of the grip. The P220 uses a single stack magazine, and the P226 uses a double stack. The P226 grip is fatter.

I'll get the pictures up in the next day or two.

What caliber is your 239? I have one in 40S&W.

I've got three P239s, one in .40S&W and two in 9mm. The one in the picture above is a 9mm.
You can tell the difference between the 9mm and the .40S&W P239s by the serations on the back of the slide. The 9mms serations only go halfway up and the .40S&Ws go all the way up.

    P239 .40S&W

    P239 9mm

Here's a pic of mine. It has a short trigger installed.

Nice! Those Hogues make a big difference in the fit and feel of the P239s.
I can't believe how accurate they are for a small barrel gun.
