How big is this gun show? It is advertised as UP TO 600-6 ft. tables, which tells me nothing. How does it actually compare to Washington Pa, or Harrisburg, or Gettysburg? Is there a large percentage of non gun junk? Is there plenty of old, solid, blued steel and wood or is it inundated with tacticool?

IMHO, the Wash show is bigger, not only physically but vendor-wise - - - when they all show up. Some Wash shows the vendor turnout is thin, but they still sprawl accross all 3 bldgs.

Monroeville is one large room -the old Wickes furniture store. But - you do get several eastern vendors that do not bother to make the trip to do the Wash show. (And vice-versa..)

And yes - a lot of junk vendors at Monroeville; gutters, cheap-ass flea-market CHICOM airsoft (not the top-shelf FoF airsoft), RC helicopters, jerky, other stupid turqouise shit. I look at it as a brief distraction.

For what they charge admission and table-holders - they really ought to enforce the vendors to keep it gun-related as the gutters aren't even cammo'd.

Even still, any gunshow is worth the time, especially if you live east of the Squirelly Hill tunnel.

I was super fired up to make this Monroeville show - until I heard of the inbound tunnel closures on weekends. Sucks if you have to take the parkway to the west side of the city.

So, you can have my parking space.

ETA -yes, this show seems to have a lot of "collectibles" in terms of Mausers, M1 carbines, USGI 1911s, old SAAs. Maybe the folks frm Central or East PA that don't make the Wash Cty trek.

I going to stop by sunday, in the market for either a G26 or a shotgun. Hopefully I find a good deal on one or the other.

There is almost ALWAYS at least one vendor with complete uppers, sometimes 2 vendors. IIRC, either will build you an upper while you wait.

In that respect - lots of AR stuff - this is the better of the 3 SWPA shows, with Wash Cty dead last.

Went today and there was alot of over priced guns for sure. I did however pickup a mint early 3rd gen G19 that came with everything including a new bagmaster mini range bag(85.00 retail) for 430.00.

Was there today too. If you look you can find some good ammo deals. Got some Hornady 20gr .17 HMR for $10 a box and some Federal .45 Hydrashock 50 round boxes for $30.
