    Default I got caught cheating!

I never thought I'd say this.....But I find myself switching my EDC full size CZ with my 3" GP-100 more often.

I KNOW the CZ is catching on to my activity.....And I don't know how to break the news to it.

Anyways - anyone else do this? I thought I was a diehard believer in Carry consistently (same firearm) because that is what you are most used to shooting, carrying, sight picture, etc....

But ALL my firearms have no safety.......pull trigger - go boom.

Is it bad practice to swap carry firearms?

I'd prolly carry the wheelie a little more often, but it's in a cheapie Uncle Mikes with thumb strap - I need a better holster.

And on an OC note - More people tend to notice the stainless revolver. NOT because it's a gun - but I think because the 'shininess' isn't typical for what the mind (even if subliminal peripheral scanning) considers normal to observe on the hip.
My GP-100 cannot be mistaken for a Blackberry, a walkie-talkie, etc...

It just catches their eyes first....THEN they process it as "gun". Still, no problems at all though!

I switch between a revolver and pistol now and then. I also practice regularly with any handgun I might be likely to carry in my collection. I'm settling towards the 1911 though as my accuracy with it is superior to any of my DAO pistols or dual action revolvers unless I want to take the time to pull the hammer back on the revolvers which defeats the whole purpose of double action in a sense.

So many bash the Uncle Mikes, but I've carried in them for years without issue.

pffft.. I'd divorce my P99, holster and 100+rds of ammo for a bigbore carry revolver(mountain gun) if I could.

I think as long as you practice with what you carry and the guns operate in a similar fashion, it shouldn't be a problem.

My P89 caught me cheating with the 1911 a while back. I worked out a deal to switch between the 2 every few weeks. (I do like to carry the P89 a little better because it is stainless and wears better that the 1911, but don't tell the 1911!)

I switch back and forth, depending on my mood, between a glock 19, ruger sp101, s&w 642 or a kimber ultra carry II.

Now if I can get my wife to go along with that concept...

i think thats the issue with it... biggest reason why i dont cary my 8 and 3/8ths barreled Raging bull... ok, not the bigest reason...

i cary my tomcar 99.9%of the time. if i feel like taking my M9 with me, then my tomcat is also with me...

i keep the M9 on my weak side angled over to my strong side. it is EASY to grab with my coat on. my tomcat is always under my shirt so not as easy to grab.

both have the safety in the same spot with almost the same motion to click to fire. its like a mini M9... lol

    ^^^ This.

Switching: I carry my Ortgies .25 ACP concealed, and my IMI 9mm open. I finally bought the S&W 28-2 Highway Patrolman in 6" (1968!) and ordered a fancy holster and ammo belt for it. I cannot wait to open carry that!

(I have spoken with all my sidearms...they know that while I love all of them equally, I require more variety than many other folks do...and they all understand.)
