Anyone who tells you that the 2nd Amendment doesn't guarantee an individual right to arms because of the militia clause is a self-deceiving fool.

To say that the National Guard today is the Militia referred to in the 2nd Amendment (and therefore the only ones who should have firearms) is tantamount to saying that the British Red coats are the only ones who should have been armed, and the colonists should have relied solely on the British Redcoat soldiers for their security.

Washington himself said on at least several occasions that the militia is made of the able bodied men who have their own arms, and who will be ready to fight for the protection of their lives, families, homes, and everything they hold dear.

The government doesn't care about these deaths. They care about control, and they will use whatever helps them gain that control.

Tell me about it. Between the shooting and the Liberals using the tragedy to further their agenda I had to largely ignore this website for the past two days. From reading and watching all the FAIL out there I was getting sick....
