I can't tell if it is a MK II or MK III without seeing the top of the slide. If there is a rib on the top of the slide it is a MK II. Please provide the serial number. That will also help. Is the mag safety in tact or has it been removed? The pistol likely has a value between $500 and $725.00 depending on the buyer. It is a HP which means it is excellent. Millions have trusted their lives to it, including the SAS and the FBI HRT teams. I'd think about some new sights though.

You can tell the age by the serial number. Please let us know and you'll have te year quickly.

Like Wilson guy it's a high power, it's a great gun! It does look like its in great condition also. I'd definitely keep it (if selling was your motive to find out the value)

If the thumb safety is original it is not a MKIII. Can you tell us if the top of the slide has a rib or not? Also, on the butt of the pistol, is the butt flat of does it have a series of ribs? If it is flat it has a forged frame. If the butt is ribbed it is a cast frame.
