Default S&W revolver smith needed in Hellertown / Lehigh Valley / Quakertown area!

Anyone know of a good S&W revolver smith in or around the Hellertown / Lehigh Valley / Quakertown area? My model 19 is giving some issues and I need to have it checked out. It holds a great deal of sentimental value and is my #1 firearm so I want to make sure to bring it to a really good smith.

Any help or recommendations are much appreciated. Thanks everyone!

What are the problems? Could be something simple.

Randy would be my pick as well. He's in Topton, I had him repair my S&W .44 mag, good guy. Highly recommended.

The problem is the double action trigger is extremely hard to pull. Trying to cock the hammer to shoot single action is also very hard.

It also seems that the cylinder is sitting tight against the back where the firing pin is and sometimes won't want to come out when I try to release it.

i would call S&W and see what they say. I send my guns back to them for repair and have never been disapointed.

Make sure the strain screw at the bottom front of the grip frame is turned in tight.
Other than that, I'll have a look at for you if you bring it by the shop. I'm about 20 minutes from Quakertown.

Hmmmm... Nothing leaps to mind on that. You'll have to have someone take it apart to see.

If the strain screw has backed out, it changes the shape of the mainspring.
When the mainspring changes it's arc, the hammer hits it making it difficult to cock.
