Thanks, it's a fun little blaster and if I ever decide to SBR anything this would be the setup I would do first.

That thing is begging for a stock! Nice work!

What kind of mags does it take?

I LOVE the dedicated 9mm lowers. The only way to go when doing this IMHO.

    Ok stupid question here

Can this be built in as a .40 caliber SW instead of 9mm if so can someone point me in the right direction.

    Thanks

It's a Colt pattern 9mm so it uses Metalform, modified uzi, promags or C-Product mags. IMO you will get the best results with Metalform mags, I tried them all and by far Metalform are the most reliable mags for the 9mm AR.

Olympic Arms may be your best bet if you want a 40.

Probably not the cheapest solution but check these guys out: http://www.rmwxtreme.com/

It's a DI upper not Blowback like most pistol uppers so it more expensive but has the benefits of being D.I. operated. It comes in close to a dozen pistol calibers, including 40 S&W.
Sanity, yours if you can keep it.....
