Default "Good for you! Thank you for carrying!"

On my way out of Wawa, with my coffee in one hand and my Glock OCed IWB at 6 o'clock, a man exiting behind me about fifteen feet back called out to me.

"Hey man - good for you!"
I stopped and peered over my car at the man. "Sorry?"
    "Thank you for carrying."
"Ah, thanks - you have a great day and stay safe, okay?"
"You too - hey, I have a question, do you have a second?"

I always have the time to answer questions of the curious, but to my surprise it had nothing to do with firearms at all. Turns out, the guy was from Oregon, and is in PA for work for a little while. He'd been noticing the uptick in police brutality videos online lately, and wanted to know the legality of recording the police. He mentioned OR being a one-party consent state, so I explained to him that while PA is a two-party consent state, the police are generally exempted from needing to provide consent since they are public entities and have to expectation of privacy or non-interception.

We chatted for about five minutes and went our separate ways.

Not sure if you have Wawa's where you live, but man, they have things figured out. A convenient place to stop at everyday

    Curious... you OC SOB?

Do you use a retention holster? If so, isn't it hard to disengage the retention at that position?

My father in law boasts that his work van is programmed to stop at any Wawa within 100 yards of his location. Viper must have this same thing setup...
Let us hope for the best, but let us also prepare for the worst.

I agree, they are awesome. I'm hoping someday they will go public. I'll sell everything I own to get in on that IPO.

When I briefly lived in New Hampshire, I was unable to get my Wawa fix being that they hadn't yet expanded up that way.
This was the sucky part of living in N.H.
But the gun laws are as good as PA, so I really couldn't complaint.
