HELP Locked out of my safe.
Alright!
I know I'm an idiot, so you don't have to tell me how stupid I am, because I know. This is not the first time I have done something stupid, and it will most certainly not be the last.
Sooo. I bought a small gun safe from French creek outfitters in May/ June of 2009, and every time I have opened the thing, it displays the battery life, and it has always displayed full.
Today, I get home from work and guess what? The safe batteries are dead. Now, every electronic safe comes with keys. This is the funny part. It just so happens I think I put the keys in the safe for "safe keeping" when I moved down here to DC.
So, I am asking you, the good people of PAFOA, to try to identify the brand of safe so that I may get another key for it. The safe has no outer marking that I could delineate a brand name. I have attached a picture of the safe.
If you can please help. I don't wanna have to cut this B open.
Thanks in advance.

See if this helps.

I don't know if this applies to your safe specifically but I know some safe have a place you can push a 9 volt battery on to so you can unlock the safe if the batteries go dead.

Re: HELP Locked out of my safe.
Yeah, my wife and I wanted to avoid getting an electronic safe for that reason. The manual dial takes a little bit longer to use, but it's a bit more reliable. They're hard to come by, though. Everyone pushes the electronic one on you.
Big Vin, I hope you're able to get it open. Failing getting it open yourself, do you think a locksmith would be able to pull something out of his bag of tricks to get it to work? There has to be a work-around for an electronic lock, I would think.
That music's got nothing on this:

Re: HELP Locked out of my safe.
I'm not sure i want to call a lock smith for a $90 safe. I could probably cut it open and buy a new one for less.
