    Default Good range in Bucks?

Hi guys, I don't know where else to post this so I'll try here. Looking for preferably a outdoor range that does not have rapid fire restrictions and be able to shoot AKs and some pistols. I've tried looking on google maps but it's really hard to know a good one without any input.
    Thanks

I belong to bucks county fish and game...its a fairly nice range. gets busy on the weekends though.

unfortunately most ranges have restrictions on rapid fire these days...at least the ones I have been a member of the past few years.

No rapid fire at Wicens, BCF&G, or TargetWorld. Clayton's has a rule against it but people do it anyway. I *think* perhaps it's allowed at ClassicPistol, but double-check with them.

You should come down and check out Conestoga Rod & Gun club. It's not far from where you are. It's down the road from Classic Pistol, but much more Mom & Pop. PM me if you're interested in checking it out. I'd be happy to show you around.

Ridge & Valley allows rapid fire, just no full auto.

Classic Pistol is indoor. They allow full auto but no rapid fire.

Having trouble getting my little brain 'round this one.

Oh that's right. They rent machine-guns.

The thing that strikes me about this is, where do people practice defensive double-taps? They say the concern is controlling the weapon, giving that as the reason for the rule, but if you can't practice, how can you learn?

Most, if not all, ranges differentiate rapid fire from a double tap. A follow up shot is supposed to be a controlled shot, rapid fire tends (to those not versed at it) to become much less controlled. CP had never given me any problem with a double tap, Wicen's used to be ok with it and I imagine that once they get to know you AND give you expressed permission, the double tap can be done. Just ask the range master at any range for permission for such shots.

Classic Pistol is fine with double taps. They didn't even give me grief for practicing Mozambique drill.

I think they stopped renting machineguns.

Their rule against rapid fire is selectively enforced. For full auto, they told me to keep control of my weapons and no mag dumps. So I use 100 round mags and don't shoot strings longer than 50 rounds

Once they see people being deliberate about safety, keeping firearms pointed downrange, and keeping bullets on paper they back off a bit. If you are just trying to pull the trigger on your AK as fast as possible for no good reason then they are going to watch you at a minimum and likely give you a hard time. I have no problem with people shooting like that for fun but there is a time and a place for everything.
