Campfire Cooking with you guessed it protection
We always camp with a pie iron and create some really nice meals with it.
Ended up making lots of meals with it cause I forgot a pot and a pan
Starts like this. Butter a pie iron.

Add some ingredients like eggs, bacon, cheese and potatoes.375685_284068428366793_252698695_a.jpg
Stick it in the fire. Note that cast iron pie irons are much better and the cheap pot metal ones will not be able to handle the heat. Ask me how I know 539794_284067465033556_502735392_a.jpg
Sandwich comes out all toasty. You need to open iron and check every so often.376236_284068518366784_1911082089_a.jpg

We've also done chipped ham, pizza sauce and cheese. Tomatoes basil and pesto. Peanut butter, marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers. Use your imaginationI dislike the diamond commercials, give me something useful like guns, ammo or cookware.

I love these things. They're a great way to dress up leftovers too. One of my favorites a couple of friends came up with had chocolate, peanut butter, marshmallow, banana and was topped with ice cream.

We did a cub scout banana recipe banana sliced down middle, load up with chocolate chips and some crunchy peanut butter. Wrapped it in foil and stuck it in the fire. I wish I had ice cream but I was doing primitive camping
Sorry I had to transfer them from camera phone and didn't realize they would be that smallI dislike the diamond commercials, give me something useful like guns, ammo or cookware.

A mountain pie reuben! I love it! Great idea!
I was at our cabin at Cook's Forest over the 4th of July... wish I would have thought about getting Iron Pie Creative!
