Default Do ya feel lucky? Well do ya, punk!

It's a 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun on earth, it'll blow your head clean off.

I picked this up Sunday. Taurus 44 Magnum Tracker 4" ported. I'm not sure if I'm liking it though, the finish. I thought I had ordered in a stainless, but then found out I didn't and they don't make a 5 round in stainless, so.

This is intended to be my new backup gun, lol.

I put 20 rounds through it yesterday right after I bought it and boy it was fun, and damn accurate for my first time shooting it. Kept everything in the 12" diameter circle from 15 yards, which I did not expect for my first time.

What about the finish don't you like? Is it glossy? If so you could bead blast it and give it a "parkerized" looking appearance.

Black glossy is hard to keep smudge free...but I think it is a stunning finish! Nice purchase!

Congratulations. I bet it has a very noticeable recoil.

    Lycan

I will be coming to this months group shoot, so I will bring it. I'll try and grab some extra ammo this weekend so I have enough for people to try it.

Recoil is rough, but not really that bad. It kicks up decently, but seems to kick back (horizontally) more so. Follow up shots aren't all that bad. After putting 20 rounds through it I noticed the meat of my palm was a little sore.

You coming to the group shoot this month? If so your more than welcome to shoot it.

I must say the nicest thing about it is cleaning it. There are so few parts you can strip it down in no time, and it's very easy to put back together.

Right now I'm in the process of trying to find night sites for it. Meprolight makes them, but no one seems to stock them. I have emails into Meprolight and Bud's Gun shop (he lists them has something he has, but is out of stock). I also offered a friend who works at gander mountain $25 if he can find them through one of their wholesalers, as their main one doesn't stock them.

    That's a beautiful weapon.

Brownell's does not stock those Mepro sights either.
