Default NHRPC CARBINE & PRECISION MATCH (SHOOTING THE NJSP CQB Q-COURSE AS A MATCH)

    NHRPC.ORG

    0830 START

    CARBINE, PRECISION AND DMR invited.

Carbine - 100 rounds in stacked mags, 10 pistol in stacked mags. Precision/DMR - 55 rounds

    $20 members, $30 guests.

    Online registration required:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...czNtX09vNUE6MQ

Precision will be running, and will have a long range CoF with steel, pop-ups and movers from 200 to 600Y.

For July's match we will be shooting a dual course of fire for Carbine. There will be some movers and pop-ups to start it off at 200Y, and then the carbine shooters will repair to the 25/50 range to shoot the NJSP CQB Entry firearm Q-Course.

The Q-Course is fired on an IDPA target at distances from 3 yards to 50 yards, and is a very good test of overall carbine skill, featuring fast close-up work, support side shooting, use of cover, position changes, and handling skills. It is not intimidating at all if you are a newer shooter. It is fired in sticks of 6 shooters at a time. Each shooting exercise is conducted by one shooter at a time, and the score is a factor of your accuracy plus the time required.

There will be a centerfire pistol transition drill included. Bring 10 rounds, strong side holster required. A drop leg holster is fine but cross draws, shoulder or chest rig setups are a no-go. If you do not have the proper equipment you will not be permitted shoot this portion of the CoF.

We will score these divisions for Carbine:

Ladies division (by popular demand - any sights)
    Irons
    Red Dot
    Magnified Optic

This is a great one to bring out SBR's and Kalashnikov's as well. NFA Suppressors and SBR's may be used.

Will we be able to shoot both the Precision and Carbine courses of fire? This will be my second NH shoot, first was Contagion 2011.

The precision and the CQB CoF's run simultaneously, so you will need to shoot one or the other.

Unless you've figured out how to be in two places at once! ;-)

I signed up but won't be able to make it there until after the start time. I am dropping my GF off up in Lansdale for a training session at 8:00 and the range is about an hour away from there.

I also may have a friend that wants to shoot as well, but don't know for sure until I hear back from him. Is there anyway to just show up and shoot?

You would have to be there at the safety briefing and registration. We can sometimes make an accommodation on that, and other times we use a staggered arrival. This one is booked up pretty solid and we won't be able to do that this time.

The CoF sounds like a lot of fun. Can't wait to see what my 700 is capable of!

    I have a few questions:

    For the carbine stage,

    1. can we use a .308 caliber carbine?
    2. can we use magnified optics? (eotech with 3x mag)
    3. are rucks permitted for support?

Also, will we recieve a confirmation email before saturday to confirm our registration, or do we just register online and show up?

    Thanks

The match is full for carbine.

If you need to check to see if you are on the roster, email or PM me.

You can shoot EITHER precision rifle OR carbine. NOT BOTH. They are run simultaneously on different ranges.

I understand that much, my inquiry is about the CoF for precision. One stage lists movers engaged at 200 yards with carbine (body shots). Am I misinterpreting this?

That is just reflecting that the carbine shooters are shooting that. If you are precision you will fire at a small paper plate on the same stalk.

1 stalk, two targets, two shooters.
