Default Erie SGL, Intermediate Rifle Target And Other Questions

I'm probably going up to Erie at the end of the month to catch up with some friends and will be bringing my my AR-15. I noticed on Google Maps that it looks like there are intermediate targets on the 100 yard rifle range. This would be preferable as I would not want to start a novice out on 100 yards. Can someone elaborate weather this is still true and at what distances they are at.

Also what is the level of unsafe firearm handling that happens at this range? In Pittsburgh it got to enough of a level that I stopped going for a while. But the permit system seems to have mitigated it a bit. The Pittsburgh range is so close to my house that I am going to get the range permit and give it another shot. Plus it will be nice on my trip to Erie.

They have 6-7 stations, with increasing distances. Not sure, but I think 25-50-100.
Just watch who's around. Some morons once shot at the 25 while others were changing targets at the 100.
Communication is the key. Make sure they know you'll be downrange and they shouldn't shoot until you get back.
    There's also a pistol range.
You will need either a hunting license or the range permit.
Read the posted rules and follow them. The range officer shows up whenever he wants to, and will make your life rough, if you violate the rules.
The most dangerous place in America is a "gun free" zone.

I stopped by there a couple of months ago on the way back from Erie. Had the place all to myself. When two urban hipster doofuses showed up with a Ruger P85, a .357 revolver, a couple of boxes of ammo, and no range bag, no eyes and ears, no nothing, it was time to pack up and go home. They made the Wexford guys look like Jeff Cooper.
