    Default 22 hornet and 7.62x38R

I have just got a Savage 340series bolt 22Hornet and was wondering if anyone had a pet hand load with the 35 grain V-max? Also I got a 7.62Nangat revolver anyone know where to get ammo or if other rounds could be used for it?

Thanks for any advice or tips!!!

My pet load for 22 Hornet is:
13 grains of Hodgdon Lil'Gun with any bullet up to 55 grains.
With your 35 grain V-max it should deliver around 2800+ FPS with pressure in the range of 24,000 CUP from a 22" barrel.

Check it out on the Hodgdon load data site.
    http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

That load gives me accuracy that is as good as or better than any other powder I've tried in that caliber. It's a compressed load, some brass won't hold that much powder.
12 grains is the recommended starting load, 13 is max. (Probably because that's a full case).

Safe because it's impossible to overcharge your load.
Convenient because it's the same for all bullet weights.
And even better because it's been accurate in all of my Hornets.

Nice did you get a lot of g-hogs with them I have a savage 340 with a 4x on it might replace it with a 4-12 or 3-9. I used 11 grains of IMR4227 with fed GM205M primer and winchester 46gr. hp with a 2" group at 35 yards.

Nagant can be had from Southern Ohio Gun for $25 a box. I don't reccomend the practice, but i've seen .32 h&r magnum fired through these revolvers, with superior accuracy, but the cases bulge, not a good sign.
