Iirc, they start life as flare guns and are converted to take full power 12ga.

Ill take 2! One in 12ga, one in 10ga both with 3.5" chambers.

Yeah, flare gun. I might consider getting some of those metal flare guns and adapting them myself. This of course, would only be done AFTER TSHTF in a WROL world. I wonder what kinda accuracy you'd get at 50 yards with a slug. Might not even be lethal past 50 yards given that you lose a LOT of acceleration on that tiny barrel.
