I don't know if the dog attacking chickens story passes the smell test or not, but the township ordinance probably won't stand in defiance of state law.

Just call the cops. In the meantime the chickens bacame a 5 course meal for the dog.

That's a shame. I would never shoot a dog for just being on my property. Now, if it were killing my critters, I would shoot it.
Just call the cops. In the meantime the chickens bacame a 5 course meal for the dog.There's no such thing as a free lunch.

There ya go. Nothing like inflicting a little pain on an animal to brighten one's day.
I'm not really trying to get into a smartass contest here. If the dog is on your property and is/is about to attack one of your animals, shoot it. I have absolutely no problem with that whatsoever.
If the dog is just passing through or checking things out, I have no idea why anybody would shoot it.
That's all I have to say about it.There's no such thing as a free lunch.
