im pretty sure its front pullin the trigger and preparing for recoil. i was tryin the bb gun and i noticed me pulling the trigger not squeezing. it helps to wrap my finger around the trigger but it isnt comfortable.

im shooting usually a s&w subcompact 9mm with a pinky extension.
sometimes a 22 revolver which is more accurate for me.

when i shoot the gun is usually rested on the bench, on a sand bag.
im pretty sure im jerkin the gun when i fire, i was even leaning againt a wall and it still wasnt accurate, a little better but not much. ill try the gum chewing thing, and ill practice not jerkin down and left.

edit- lol ill try chanting, seems interested and it will def take my mind off recoil

I heard all the "squeeze" stuff, and it didn't work for me. Finally, I read Ayoob talk about "rolling the trigger," and I tried that and immediately got better results. You are probably rolling the trigger on the revolver, assuming it's double action, and would probably do better with the auto if you applied the same technique.

I know some of you are thinking "squeeze the trigger," and "roll the trigger" are the same thing, but for some reason "roll." to me, implies something a little different.

AGH! I went to the range today and was hitting left of center all day! I was gonna buy dummy rounds cause I think I'm anticipating recoil. Any tips?
