Default Type of ID needed to purchase a gun in PA.

I turned 18 a few months ago but I don't have my driver's license yet, long story short I had some medical problems and couldn't get it yet so my permit expired. I can get my license this summer now but my question is, if I have my photo ID from the dmv, can I use that for the transfer at my ffl? I'm guessing I can since it would be the same thing except I don't have my license.

Only if said "gun" is a long gun, rifle or shotgun. Handguns cannot be transferred to anyone under 21 at a FFL. Hanguns must be transferred by Sheriff.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Photo ID is just as valid as a Driver's License.

However, an FFL can't touch you if you're under 21 (federal law).

Yes, I should have clarified that. Rifles and Shotguns are options, handguns are not until you turn 21.
