I've killed lots of animals that weren't menacing anyone. They then got sent to the processor. Cattle, deer, etc. What makes people get so attached to a dog? I know you like him, I like mine too, but in the end it's just an animal, not a person.

Disclaimer: I did have to dry my eyes a bit when we put down Mardi this past December. She was a great pup. If she had ever bitten or attacked anyone prior to that, I'd have dug her a hole right there and then.

If your dog is in fear of great bodily harm, kidnapping, death or rape I say yes. If not you should use pepper spray.
