There is no such thing. Generally the first thing a bad guy is going to do is snatch the purse. Now he has her gun, too. Tell her to get a good holster, and carry on her person.

I got this one with a coupon code:

    http://www.cabelas.com/product/75188....mc_id=crrdtfd

Just make sure she wears it cross body and keeps it on her at all times...you have to keep closer track of a carry handbag than a regular handbag.

It has a locking side holster pocket and enough room for everything else in the other pockets.

My wife uses a Coronado Ginleather purse we got at Cabelas. She likes it quite a bit, though the pistol will never be as secure as on body carry.

One plus is that a woman can keep her hand on her pistol in the purse discreetly, so that if she is attacked, her pistol is already in hand.

I think I saw Lancaster on the OP's profile. I was at a Bass Pro near Hershey. Perhaps they have some purses in stock, so that your wife can check them it in person. Being able to try out the purses was vital to my wife making a decision.

Especially in a dark parking lot. Plus, if you have to, and you get grabbed from behind, you can shoot through the back of your purse.

Carry the handbag cross body and only carry it where you won't have to take it off, and then its secure, short of someone taking a knife to your handbag. The odds of which are slim...and if that's going to happen, you could just as easily get someone grabbing your gun off your butt in the same amount of time.

The biggest difference is that you do have to keep track of the handbag more...no leaving it accidentally in the bathroom, or setting it in a shopping cart. As long as you aren't doing that, you're good.

For non-handbag carry, I think one of the more comfy ways to carry on your body (although a bit awkward to draw) is the SmartCarry.

Not a fan of off body carry but I suppose a firearm in a purse is better than nothing.

Tell your wife to buy it at Shado.com and she will be paying like half the price of the other guys for a much better product. (Ray's leather)

I am not a fan of off body carry either but i much prefer a woman have a gun in her pocket book than not at all

Stoner Holsters has a selection of concealment purses available.

I'm a big fan of Stoner IWB holsters, I have one for every gun I own. Smooth leather with quality boning, stitching and retention. IMO can't be beat for the $44 price.
