Do any gen 4 Glock 23s come with fish scale serrations

A friend of mine just sent me a pic of what he says is a generation 4 Glock 23. I can clearly see the fish scale serrations and thought it to be a gen 3 rtf. Did the early gen 4s have these serrations? also are the generation 4s stamped as such? Thanks, Brian

Gen 4 glocks are stamped gen 4 and I do believe that it should have a dual recoil spring if it is indeed a gen 4 slide assembly. Also should have matching serial numbers on slide, barrel, and frame. Never heard of a fishgill gen 4. Also if it has changeable back straps it might be a gen 4 frame with a gen 3 gill slide.

Some people call the Glocks with "Gills" on the slide Gen4s but they sure look like Gen3s to me. Pretty sure they all had the Gen3 single spring RSAs and did not have the other small parts changes the gen4s have.(I never saws one with any Gen4 parts anyway) Glock is still making some Gen3 guns yet.

i hope they never stop making gen 3s, hell i want more new gen 2s with no grooves. i just cant bring myself to like the gen 4s after the release horror stories. i dont know if their really fixed yet or not? either way i like glock frames that are one piece, if i want a puzzle ill break out the kids legos.

I had a brand new g17 upper that I recently put on a used gen 2 lower and I like it more than my gen 3 now. Wish they would just bring back the gen 2.
