So I just got home from Boyer's after an afternoon of calling around to all of my favorite LGS. I am the new owner of a S&W model 19-4 that is probably 98%. There is a slight turn ring on the cylinder and it looks like someone used a screwdriver on the side plate once. The grips are perfect and of course the price at Boyer's is always good, pics to follow soon.

Great choice, congrats. I've lusted for a model 19 pinned and recessed for a long time now. Bluing would have to be near perfect, target grips/trigger/hammer and there is my proverbial gun "wet dream". You live close enough to me for an invite to Ridge and Valley Gun club sometime. Let me know when you're available and we can check out each others Smiths.
What was your OTD (out the door) price for that 19?

I have an S&W model 60 with an unbelievable trigger job. It's almost a hair trigger, but not quite. I also have a Ruger GP 100. It is a great shooter and looker. Either of these would be a great addition to anyone's collection.

I love my Dan Wesson. I have a 4 and a 6 inch barrel for it. With the 6" on, its a real tack driver and the trigger is so smooth.

No, the one at Handgunner is a 19-2 with a 6" barrel. I picked it up at Boyer's in Slatington.

Ruger SP-101 is a good choice, shoots well and is small enough to carry.
