PPD issuance letter (scanned for reference)
Here is a scan of the letter given to me by the PPD gun permits unit. Many of you might find it useful.
Notice that it notifies you of a duty to inform law enforcement when in contact with them, among other falsehoods.

Re: PPD issuance letter (scanned for reference)
The irony is that the PPD is telling the people that they should be aware of the laws regarding the carrying of firearms. If the people actually do that, then they'd know that the form they just signed is full of bullshit.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: PPD issuance letter (scanned for reference)
I figure the police are at perfect liberty to lie to you... which is exactly what most of this letter is. Especially the part about a duty to inform. It's up to us to know which parts of this letter are BS and which are legit, as they have no legal duty to be truthful (as far as I know).

Here's is a question:
You are made to sign this piece of paper in order to get your LTCF in Philadelphia.
Does signing this piece of paper put you in a contractual agreement with the city? Mind you, you are told you can not obtain you LTCF without signing this paper.
Everyone who obtained their LTCF in Philly has signed this paper.

Re: PPD issuance letter (scanned for reference)
I don't know, but you must sign it before they take you back and issue you a card. Perhaps I should have put "under duress" next to my name or something. But they have you by the balls. They can make you wait for HOURS before telling you that the printer stopped working if they feel like it.

$50 to replace the license....yeah, ok.
I'd be crossing sections out before signing it....Last edited by mrjam2jab; May 28th, 2012 at 07:08 PM.
