Anyone Recommend a Machine Shop in Philly for small steel parts?
Hi.
I need to have an extractor made for a Tanfoglio 22LR semi (Excam E22 which is same as GT22).
Does anyone here know of a shop in the Philly area that would machine such a part in (preferably stainless) steel at a decent price? I will have one to use as a model. I don't mind driving a bit to the burbs or South Jersey if need be. Just want someone who does good work and isn't out to rob me.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Have you checked Gun Parts Corp (Numrich) for parts?
Having the part made "one off" can be quite expensive, I'd look to a gunsmith.
Good luck

Not in philly, but close, Emig Machine and Tool. The owner is a gun owner and avid shooter, very nice guy. Their number is 215-443-7810.
But I agree with the above poster. If you got a 100 made, it would still probably be more expensive then ordering the right part. For just one, it will probably cost more than the gun is worth.

Re: Anyone Recommend a Machine Shop in Philly for small steel parts?
Thanks, guys. Numrich doesn't have it. I will try Emig and otherwise keep searching for the part.
I bought the gun at a low price figuring I at least would have a parts gun for the second one I bought. Neither has been shipped yet. The gun looks like a clone of a Beretta 71 22LR, which are rare and pricey. And Tanfoglio has a good rep, so I am eager to see how Beretta-like they might be. The two I bought cost less than one Beretta would have. (I do own half-a-dozen older Berettas, but not that model.)
I have an in-law who works as a machinist but we're not close and I don't know if he can sneak it at work, or would even do it. There's also a chance I can find a student at a trade school to do it; I may swing by one and post a note on the bulletin board. Finally, maybe I can grind one out of aluminum or grind down a similar part from another gun.
Once I have the part in hand I will rethink my options.
Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated. Keep cool!
