Nice setup! How's that 930 run? Something I've been considering, but hearing mixed reviews on.

It's been great. Not perfect but the only problems I've had came when I was shooting cheap, shit, rubbish ammo. It didn't like Centurion at all and I had 1 failure to eject that jammed up the action and had to be ripped out to be cleared with Winchester wal mart 100 round pack. Take away the Centurion and that's 1 malfunction with probably 300 cheap Federal (100%) and Winchester (99%) target loads. It's been perfect with all the slugs and buckshot I've put through it. There really aren't many types of guns that don't have someone somewhere trashing them. The 2009 NRA shotgun of the year award should mean more than a few internet troll's opinions.

I have a 930SPX that I use for 3-gun. I've shot probably close to 500 rounds out of it. It's never malfunctioned with any of the standard target, buckshot, or slug rounds I've run through it. The only issues it's ever had were when my wife tried to run low recoil rounds through it. There wasn't enough oomph to cycle the action.

What for light mount are you using with the 930SPX?

Also, I like the sights on your 590A1. I wonder if Mossberg sells them separately. I'd like to put a set on my 590A1.

The light mount is an Elzetta ZSM with a Streamlight Polytac. The sights are made by LPA. You can buy the Mossberg ghost ring set for about $70 on MidwayUSA but the set of LPAs will cost you $200 or so. The rear sight sits on the rail so it's an easy install because the receivers are drilled and tapped but the front sight is welded on. I bought both of these sexy beasts with the sights so I didn't have to worry about the install.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, my 590A1 isn't drilled and tapped for the rear sight. It was a police trade-in that came without sights. Right now I have a clamp on fiber optic front sight mounted on it. It works OK for me, but my wife uses it as a regular sight and she ends up shooting low. However, with my 930SPX, it hits where you aim the sights, so I figured the same would work on the 590.

Here's my second Mossberg 590. I had sold my first one and regretted it ever since. So, I found this one on consignment for $170.00 and snatched it up. I added some of the accessories after the purchase.

I would rather die in a shootout than get assassinated in a "gun free zone"

The 930 SPX is a lot of fun. I picked one up for a birthday present to myself and love it. More fun with less frequency of reloading.
