Default Anyone have an experience with a Steyr C9-A1?

Steyr just announced a temporary $89 discount on their handgun lines. Anybody have experience shooting the C9-A1? I'm tempted to take advantage of the deal, but haven't had any experience with Steyr handguns. Here is a link to the announcement:

I just picked up the M9 as did a few of my buddies. Well made, solid gun. Sites are amazing. Paid $419 for new m9's. Other than one batch of recalled ones a while back - I haven't heard many issues although not too popular or a lot out there. Very cool, well made, accurate gun / go for it!

I've sold about 10 of these over the last six months or so. Everyone I've sold one to has been very pleased with them.

The sights ARE amazing aren't they?

If the $89 discount is subtracted from your $419 purchase price...I'll definitely be picking one up.

The $419 I paid was from Robertsons Trading Post - don't think they will be giving an additional $89 off. They have a bunch that were from a cancelled middle east military contract. I think either way, full size or compact, if you can get for $419 "ish" you can't go wrong !

Scotsguards, sure wish you were closer - seems everything I buy you have in stock - lol. Oh well, I'll be sure to stop by and see you at the Harrisburg Gun show!

The Steyr's from the cancelled military contract are not the latest iteration - even though they share the same model designation. They were imported by PW Arms in Washington state - not Steyr USA, so are not subject to the rebate.

The latest models can be identified by a cross-pin through the slide, just under and to the rear of the rear sight dovetail. They also lack the loaded chamber indicator pin that protrudes from the rear of the slide. Both these changes were made in pursuit of a better trigger.

I have a new M9-A1. Paid $570 OTD (and that includes NJ's ridiculous $15 NICS). With an $89 rebate, these become a real bargain. I love mine, and after some major FTE issues when first received - solved with a new extractor - it has run flawlessly. Love the trapezoidal signts and ergonomics.

    Adios,

Got a chance to shoot my brothers at the range. Great pistol and totally reliable.
    Very accurate as well.

Too ugly for me... But it seems like a nice price, if you like it you should buy it!
