Suggestions for a 380
Buddy wants to get his wife a 380. He is looking at the new Ruger that is coming out shortly, anyone know anything about it. Or, have a great suggestion from past experiance on a good 380 that won't break the bank?

Gotta go with the Ket-Tec P3AT.

Re: Suggestions for a 380
My favorite is the Seecamp .380 with the Colt Mustang coming in a close second place. My distant third pick would the SIG.

Note: Buyer may need to relocate to Europe.
Seriously though, this isn't any different than any other "what do you suggest" thread.
There are a lot more factors to consider than caliber and cost.
Does your buddy's wife know why she wants a .380, or was that decided by your buddy?

Re: Suggestions for a 380
If your buddy is absolutely insistent on the idea of getting his wife a .380, and can't be convinced to just get her a 9mm (cheaper ammo, more reliable, better ammo, more stopping power, and so on) tell him to look for a Colt Mustang or the P3AT.
Both of those .380s fire from a locked breech, which is important if his primary goal is low-recoil.
The Seecamp is nice, but it's blowback, which means heavier recoil, and a heavier slide. The material presented herein is for informational purposes only, is not guaranteed to be correct, complete, or up to date, does not constitute legal advice and does not establish an attorney-client relationship.
