    Default American Idol Open Carry

I guess one of the father of one of the American Idol contestants was shown open carrying in the "back home segment" last night. Anyone see it or have a clip?

I noticed that. Apparently it was a Glock. The father was in his pawn shop.

As long as he's a better singer than the other contestants, right? As I understand it, American Idol is a singing competition not a Pro 2-A contest.

It's a popularity contest, nothing more. If it were purely about ability to sing then all you should hear is the person's voice, and never see them.

Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

no, not really. i would vote for him regardless of how good he sings.

that would be fine and dandy in the amish community. all the performers could sing from behind a curtain.

in the real world( for lack of a better term) these kids are performers so its not just about the voice.
