Fingerprinting in Southern Chester Co.?
I swung by the Avondale station today to get my fingerprints done for my Florida license and was asked what I needed the prints for and was denied the service. I had previously used them for my Arizona license with no issues and could not get a clear explaination as to WHY they won't do them, they basically argued that it was word from above (Where, they couldn't tell me either) and then finally dismissed me and asked me to leave when I pressed for more information. I have a letter in the mail asking Mrs. Bernot if this is official policy or simply an emotional response in light of recent events in Florida... Not sure what the issue is with placing MY fingerprints on a piece of paper so that >I< can get investigated by the FBI yet a criminal can do this with no issues... *shrug*
So... Any other decent options in the southern Chester County area for prints that are valid for Florida? (Need to verify if there is any specific requirement, I was doing the Avondale ones since it worked out fine for AZ...)

Re: Fingerprinting in Southern Chester Co.?
Looks like the Sheriff will do it in Chester County for residents with a current valid LTCF, $10/card (Check or money order) during normal business hours. Guess I'll just do that.

Re: Fingerprinting in Southern Chester Co.?
A good friend of mine just called me a bit ago. He's finally escaped NJ and is now living near Philthy. He's been having a tough time finding a place that'll do fingerprints for his Florida permit. Will the Chester sheriff do it for someone that doesn't live in Chester county?

I did mine at the police station in Pottstown, nice older gentleman/civilian did it. Believe if I remember correctly it was $25.

Re: Fingerprinting in Southern Chester Co.?
I had my prints done couple months ago at Chester co. sheriff and they will deny at first but if you ask the right person in the office he will allow it.
I believe a police station in Montgomery co. will do it without hassle, i think it's Upper Merion maybe.

Re: Fingerprinting in Southern Chester Co.?
This is the followup letter I received from Lt. Allen J. Krawczel regarding the issue of getting prints at Avondale. I've yet to receive the follow-up call he said I would receive.
