Re: HUGE Yard Sale - Lawrence County
We generally have yard sales in the summer time, but this one is going to be all weekend long and HUGE! We get a lot of donations from the community to help the homeless in our area. We work to get them into apartments and then help furnish the apartment. A lot of the time, we get donations of things we can't use or we get too much.
All the money we earn from the yard sales goes into our homeless fund to buy tents, sleeping bags, and food. We also have an emergency fund we use for them as well. So if someone is homeless and it's going to be freezing cold out, we will actually put them in a motel for the night, more if needed.
So if you're in the area and want some good stuff REALLY cheap, and/or want to help people locally who have nothing but the clothes on their back, then come down and look around! Please share with friends in the area. i really appreciate anything for help!
