Rochester Sportsmen's Club -- Any Info?
While driving yesterday, saw a sign for this club. Did not have time to stop and look aroung. Any input?
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.

Where is this club? I've never seen it, and I live in Center Township.

I think I saw it off 989 between brews tavern and rt 68 while on the bike last weekend, but don't hold me to it, I was all over that day, but I do remember seeing it.

pacodelahoya is close, from brews tavern, stay on 989 -- it's between brew's and the turnpike. It is in new sewickley township, a pretty good ways from rochester. They have 4 (antiquated) trap fields, fair size club house, and I'm not sure what all.
I'm not sure what their dues are. But from center township, you could be in other clubs quicker -- this is out there.

ALSO,,, we hold trap practice every Wednesday at 6pm, Sporting Clays on Sundays at 1pm, and a Turkey Shoot on Thursdays at 6 pm. We also have a 3-D Archery Range on the property, and will be holding shoots this Spring.

Bob, I had heard you guys were making improvements. What's the sporting clays course like? How much for 100 birds?

Re: Rochester Sportsmen's Club -- Any Info?
I'm interested in knowing the answer to that question, as well. We just bought a small farm (not the small farm!) in Darlington, so it'll be a lot further to go to Aliquippa than the Rochester Sportsmen's Club.
Is there a web site?Kevin Singleton, Potawatomi - {ZRT - Sector 4}

Re: Rochester Sportsmen's Club -- Any Info?
if you're in darlington, that's my neck of the woods, and there are places a lot closer than alliquippa or rochester. Because of going through town, it's probably still less time to go to quip than rochester.
If you are into clays, from darlington, get on route 168 and go north -- all the way to route 18, just across 18 is lawrence county sportsman -- brand new, and for sporting, it's better than anything in beaver -- can't speak to rochester, haven't seen it. www.shootlcsa.com is their website. You pay well for membership, but you get a lot.
If you get on 168 north and go to new galilee and turn right on route 351, down to koppel (4 miles), you're right close to koppel big beaver sportsmen - a indoor pistol range, outdoor 250 yard rifle range, and 360 acres of hunting - -small club, low dues.
PM me for more info about either club - I belong to both.

Re: Rochester Sportsmen's Club -- Any Info?
I'm a member of the Rochester club, also. The rifle ranges go out to 300 yards; we also have 25, 50, 100, and 200 yard lines. We're still working on putting the finishing touches on them, but they are an awesome project and will be a real benefit to the club.
