What the difference in the G34 vs G17/19?

What the difference in the G34 vs G17/19? Besides the longer barrel what makes the G34 worth so much more money? Trigger, grips, sights or more?

What's the 40 equal to the G34? Is it still being made in the Gen 4 family?
is $525 or $585 the going price? How cheap can I get a used one?

a 34 is much bigger then a 17, its a competition pistol.

The 17 is a full sized glock, but smaller then the 19, and a 19 is their compact.

The 34 has a 17 frame with a longer slide, extended slide stop, extended mag release, and minus connector. The slide has a window cut in the top to reduce weight. The .40 equivalent is the 35.

Umm, no. G34 barrel length is 5.31" vs G17 barrel length is 4.49", total 0.82" longer. I wouldn't call just over 3/4" longer barrel and overrall length 0.79" longer "much bigger", YMMV.
The G17 IS a full sized pistol, but is LARGER than the G19, which IS the compact. The only other difference is G34 trigger pull is 4.5 lb whereas the G17 is 5.5 lb.
I just bough a NIB 3rd Gen G17 for $425 + $25 shipping to my FFL. If that 3/4" and 1 lb less trigger pull is worth the extra $150 to you, have at it...it isn't to me for sure.

456 - This is nearer to correct if you add the bottom two replies, I understood what the other poster was trying to say but from my research this information is closer to what I wanted to hear. And yes I believe the G34 is worth it or all Glocks could be competitive pistols. I think that lighter trigger with sligtly larger mag and slide tools, adjustable sights will make it more accurate and easier to use pistol. I think I'l buy one.

Yes, there are some G34 Gen4 guns out there. If you find a new G34/35 for $525, buy them all. Most in my area are right around $600; more for the Gen4. Used ones are right around $500-525, in my experience.
