Where and what buy bulk ammo to buy?

I've been buying ammo for practice from Walmart, Cabelas, and Gander Mtn, but was wondering if I could find better deals. I'm looking for 9mm handgun ammo in bulk (500-1000 rd packages), but I'm not sure which websites and ammo are reputable. After doing some research it looks like Blazer, Lawman are decent for the price.

So, where do you get your practice rounds, and which ammo do you buy in bulk?

Freedom Munitions is the cheapest I have seen and there are a couple threads here with mixed reviews. It seems that most people who got NEW pistol ammo were satisfied but the reman rifle ammo is suspect.
I am expecting 500 new 45 acp on Tuesday and I will post my satisfaction index.

Thats one of the sites I was wondering about. They have "Blaster" ammo that looks like a decent deal for 1000 rds.

For 250 rounds of 9x19 RN (Round Nose, I gather) 115gr no-name ammo I can pay $59.94 from them including shipping. Or I can pick up a 250 round box of UMC brand FMJ around the corner at Walmart for the same price, and not have to wait for the delivery. There might be a savings in larger quantities, but for the amount I typically buy I'm not seeing the benefit.

Edit to add: Yeah, in larger quantities I can see where the savings come in on the ammo & shipping. Obviously I need to shoot more to justify larger purchases...

I like the Walmart Federal 100 bulk packs in 9mm for $19.97. Besides them I wait for Cabelas to put S&B 9mm for $9.97 per 50.

+1 This... Plus the convenience of your closest Walmart. The only problem is they don't stock-up a lot. when you see them on the shelves, buy them.

They also have Tulammo, if you don't mind shooting steel cased ammos.
