First Carrying faux pas
Well yesterday morning I was leaving to go to the grocery store with my girlfriend. My truck sits outside and sometime since the day before when I last time I drove it, bird(s) had a field day with my windshield. So I stop at Sheetz to clean it off cuz my windshield washer fluid wasn't even putting a dent in the amount of crap all over my windshield.
Anyways I start filling the truck up (it always need gas) and as im cleaning the bird shit off my windshield the older gentlemen at the pump beside is staring at my hip. I looked down and my jacket had rode up over my Taurus 709 slim that I carry OWB in a Desantis mini slide was out in the open. I gave the gentlemen a nod and a smile as I fixed my jacket and went on about cleaning my windshield. The man meanwhile finished pumping his gas and rushed to get in his car. Needless to say I was little embarrassed, I have been carrying for about 3 months now and this was my first mishap.

Honestly not really a mishap, it happens. No need to be embarrassed.

No reason to be embarrassed unless it was one of the pink, or worse yet, yellow Slims!

Re: First Carrying faux pas
It happened to me at Home Depot when I tried to reach some PVC pipe fittings on a high shelf. My sweatshirt rode up, exposing the butt of my Taurus 617 that was in a Bianchi IWB holster. My wife hisses to me, "Pull your shirt down!" at the same time an HD worker is approaching us to 'help'. A kindly-looking, middle-aged woman, she rapidly looked me up and down for several seconds before she said, "I guess you don't need any help, sir."
"Nope. Just need longer arms." I was surprised I wasn't shadowed by anybody throughout the store afterwards, as we still had some other aisles to peruse, and there wasn't any of Wilkes-Barre's Finest waiting outside for me when I left.
