    Default My 1st MWAG call

I guess I joined the infamous MWAG club.

I was having lunch at one of my favorite wing restaurant when a Cumru Township PO walked in and asked to speak to the manager. I just knew it was about me, gut feeling and with their reputation I was thinking here we go.

After the PO was done with the manager he walks over and starts talking to me and I said "why don’t we talk outside", I did not feel like being the center of attention.

Once we were outside the PO informs me that one of the other patrons called and said there was a man with a gun. He then proceeds to inform me that he questioned the manager at the restaurant and they do not have a gun policy and she has no problem with me displaying my firearm in that manner. His next statement was “you are perfectly legal to open carry and I am sorry to bother you”.

He never asked for my ID, my firearms license, or to inspect my gun. He was very polite and apologized for interrupting my lunch. We talked for several minutes at the end about firearms and asked if I was carrying a G26 because he is a Glock fan.

Overall I think it was a good to neutral encounter, neutral because I don’t think he even had to talk or interrupt me.

STOP POSTING AND CALL A LAW...... Wait... damnit, sorry knee jerk reaction never mind lol.

Honestly, good encounter for the exception of being reported as an MWAG. Kudos to the cops for not giving you hell AND for dining somewhere that doesnt carry you carry! Rep sent.

You call that an MWAG call?

    Sounds like all went well.

I wish the assholes that feel so intimidated by the sight of a rational person caring a holstered gun could be charged with something…anything.

SammyL - Shame you didn't have a copy of Your Pennsylvania Gun Rights brochure to give him.

I wonder how that would have went had the manager not noticed your weapon when you came in, and the officer had just informed him of such... and he (the mgr,) would have had a problem with it....

Differently, but you are putting too many qualifiers on it and changing it to a completly different situation.
Lets just take it for what it is and I think it was a decent encounter.

Pretty much as good as you can ask for. He was doing his job by investigating some misguided citizen's fear, while not trampling on your rights.
