A good day in the PA woods
I went out turkey hunting today and shot my 1st gobbler. Used my Mossberg 500. I was filling out the tag at 6:15am. Either I was really lucky today or there are alot of birds this year.

Nice! That's a beautiful bird. How long is is beard?
On a side note, I was on my way home from the Bloomsburg gun show at about 1:30, on Rt 42 between Numidia and Aristes, and there was a gobbler in full strut in a power line clearing about 150 yards off of the road.Power always thinks...that it is doing God's service when it is violating all his laws.

Thanks the beard was 9 1/4". The spurs were 3/4". I don't know a whole lot about what the lengths mean but I think its kind of like a bucks antlers. Anyway it was a great thrill.
