Default What is Easton really like?

I am considering moving there, but I hear people say its a bad area. Can anyone that lives there tell me what I wanna hear (that every town/city has a bad area but its fine)?

The city proper is a little... run down. It's theoretically on the upswing, but I wouldn't live within the city limits.

Easton proper sucks except for some areas of College Hill. The surrounding townships Forks, Palmer, Williams and Bethlehem Township are nice.
Nazareth, Plainfield, Moore, Bushkill and Wind Gap are all nice

    Heaven on Earth.

No one needs to ever defend themselves in Eastopia.

I know they have a PEZ Museum, but other than that, I haven't heard much about it being too bad...

We parked the car on a side street when we went to the state theater, when we came out after the show, I noticed a needle a couple feet away. Uh, yeah, shithole. Do yourself a favor and stick to the surrounding Twps. Problem I see with that is, if you have children, its still Easton school district. No thanks.

    You forgot the Crayola factory.

Still no reason to want to live there, try something outside like Wilson or one of the other areas mentioned

Well that's pretty close to what I wanted to get back from you guys. I would be moving more specifically to Palmer Twsp. I visited the apartments I would be living in and the area didn't look too bad, but I had to ask because I didn't get to explore the surrounding areas.

I don't have any kids so I wouldn't have to worry about the schools. If it were just me I wouldn't mind living in a sketchy area but I'd have my gf with me, and I leave for work for a month at a time so I want her to be safe. She'd have my Glock 20 to destroy intruders with but I'd rather her not lol.
