fingerprint issues??
so in my attempt to sbr an uzi, i have everything in order except my prints.
so here is my issue or at least where i think i might have an issue.
as a millwright i work with my hands all day, so they are always nicked up or out right cut. but more troubling is years ago i burnt my right index finger, i cooked it pretty good actually. it does not look scarred, but the print it's self is messed up.
i have needed finger prints before for entry into various secured areas...and that finger was never good for that. in those times i could always explain why that finger was like that.
does anybody have a clue what i might expect when that finger does not ink well on paper?it's only metal, we can out think it....

Re: fingerprint issues??
That's a good question.
I'm not sure if all the prints need to legible or just a certain percentage.
I would like to think that if its permanent then its your print.
I knew someone years ago that was a mason and ran into some issues because all his prints were poor from handling bricks and blocks every day. But that was a temporary and different situation than yours.FUCK BIDEN

Re: fingerprint issues??
What would happen if you were missing a finger? I know common sense doesn't necessarily apply, bit I think you should be OK.

I don't know if it has changed at all in the last few years but you use to have a certain number of identifiable points in each print in order for them to be accepted by AFIS (If they are entered... I don't know if the BATF does that or not). A bad print will kick the whole card. And missing fingers are no big deal.

Re: fingerprint issues??
Forms can be marked TA, Tip amputated. They will fingerprint whats left but there will be TA in the Upper Left corner of Each box that applies. All my forms are that way. They might have something similar for a damaged fingerprint.

Re: fingerprint issues??
Reading the NFA manual there is a section that says if fingerprints are not legible that the CLEO must include a statement saying so.
So I think your OK, as long as your CLEO signs off on ya

Re: fingerprint issues??
See the above post.
One of my uncles has some messed up fingers from an industrial accident. The LEO made the statement and my uncle provided a photograph of his hand to clarify things. ...no problems from the ATF.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: fingerprint issues??
I had my prints done by the PSP, there is a place on the cards where the person taking the prints can "note" irregularities". Mine went through just fine.
