Re: family out of state long gun transfers
It must go through a FFL for interstate transfers. Relationship between the parties does not matter.
For long guns - it can go through a FFL in any state.
For handguns - it must go through a FFL in the receiving party's home state.
The only exception is for bequests and intestate succession - which means someone must die first and leave the guns to another in a will or inherit them via family relations.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515
