Re: The US Army Ends Colt Contract, Buys Remington M4s
Can Remington match Colt's level of dependability? I personally never knew Remington made a M4.

You would be amazed at the number of different manufactures that make the lowers for Colt. IIRC Remington is one of those companies (or one of its subsidiaries)

Re: The US Army Ends Colt Contract, Buys Remington M4s
Must be why Colt is bringing back some of it's old assed designs like the Mustang and New Frontier, Uncle Sams money is drying up.
Now they need to actually get some of the peeon publics money instead of just their tax money.
You know, the group of buyers and enthusiasts they seemed to like to ignore.
Marines go with H&K, Army goes with Remmy... Maybe it's time for Colt to get with the 21st century or just go away.
Hopefully this will shut up some of the rabid Colt snobs.

Not a chance.
Colt has made the hands down best AR and M16 for over 50 years.

Just because a company makes the same thing for 50 years does not make it the best IMO.
The Marines and Army seem to not currently share your opinion.
I'd take an H&K over a worn out pony any day.
Colt refuses to get with the times, if they keep it up, they will be left behind.
