Someone tell me what to do!
Well, I got $100 for my birthday and I was going to get a PAFOA lower. However, my wife just informed me that she thinks I should wait for the big Bush Tax Rebate and get an AK that I have always wanted for $400 instead (that's the original $100 + $300 from the rebate)
I am really torn between the two choices. I want another AR but I also want an AK since I don't have on yet. I can afford the AK sooner than the another AR...Ugggggggh!
Someone just tell me what the HELL to do! LOL
Also, if I go with the AK...who's gonna sell me a nice on for $400?

Re: Someone tell me what to do!
With the $100, buy the PAFOA lower. If you have to work 1 week more to wait until you can afford the AK, do so.
$100 now, $400 now, $100 now, $500 now next week....easy decision. Get the lower AND the AK. If you are willing to spend $400, what's another $100 a couple weeks down the road?
$400 gets you right in between a solid Yugo and a sloppy Romanian.
Once you have the lower, take your time and build it however you want.

Re: Someone tell me what to do!
I was able to get my PAFOA lower AND a RRA complete kit for a total of $676.
Hope that helps.
Sucks to have to make the decision.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Someone tell me what to do!
Mine was about $700 including the float tube and flip up front sight, but I think the RRA kits have the 2 stage trigger.
I already have the SKS and like the AR platform now that I have tasted the kool-aid. but an AK is a fine rifle that will outlive you. No matter what you should buy something before the election. I know a guy who is selling an AK sniper for a decent price. It's bigger and heavier, scope, bi-pod, ext...

Saying you built your own AR is worth more than buying an AK.

Re: Someone tell me what to do!
AK for under $400? Pshhh, that's not even difficult. Here's one brand new: http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/N...zle_Break.html
Edit: I vote for "get the AK". Variety is the spice of life! Ammo is cheaper too.Last edited by lexington86; February 16th, 2008 at 09:04 PM.

Get the AK, but hey, I'm partial to the 7.62 over the 5.56. I know, I know around these parts that may be blasphemy but it is what it is
You can always build your own AK. I think it comes to $240 - $250. Something like that.
Be safe.
