POSITIVE OC encounter... With a "citizen" (subject) of PRNJ???

Well it has been so long since a single person has mentioned my firearm to me in public that I was honestly confused at first when someone did.

I stopped at Weis in Mt. Pocono for a few things, OC'ing my RIA 1911.

Upon reaching the checkout, I see that there are 2 lanes open. The one I can see down has a family with a massive order. I am carrying 4 items. I see another guy, also with only a few items, look down the lane, then check the other lane. He meets my gaze and says "It's even worse. This one's our best bet," and gets in line behind me. After a few seconds:

Him: Wow, that looks weird, man!
Me (genuinely confused as to what he is referring to): Huh?
Him (pointing at my sidearm): I'm from Jersey, it's weird to see that.
Me: Ah, well, get used to it, it's pretty normal here.

So at this point, I'm waiting for him to ask if it's a nine or a forty, or how many bullets fit in the clip, or other such annoying questions, but he doesn't.

Him: Yeah, I know, it just stands out to me more... In Jersey, if you see that, you duck and run! But around here, it's just any dude. Jersey is awful, man. Bad news there.
Me: Yeah, I here ya. I avoid Jersey at all costs.

We shot the shit for a good ten minutes or so until another lane opened. He motioned for me to go first, and we introduced ourselves as I was leaving.

I gotta say, when I heard the words "I'm from Jersey," I steeled myself for the stupidity, but ended up having a really good conversation.

That's funny...I saw a guy at the Weis in East Stroudsburg today that was packing. We were both looking at gun magazines and when he bent down to get one his shirt rode up and sat partially on top of his rig at about the 5 o'clock position. As I was walking by I said "Hey boss, your shirts up...not that it matters though. (with a slight smirk)".

He nodded, dropped the shirt and that was that. Good times. Hopefully someone here.

I shop at the Weis in east Stroudsburg often and i am always carrying and my shirt sometimes ride up when i have to reach for things but iam a lefty so it wasnt me this time, mine would be at 8'oclock. THe old guy Kenneth is always reminding me to pull down my shirt.
