does mpoetc use pics for background check for act 235
I am applying for act 235 and wanted to know if mpoetc uses pics for the background check for act 235.

They had better not. Federal law limits the use of NICS to gun transfers and carry permits/licenses only. Since PICS uses NICS, PICS must also follow federal law.

Your backround check for ACT235 is by the Pa State Police not MPOETC. The PSP use state and federal data for the backround checks to my knowledge.

just finished the 235 course and no they don't use your picture, they take your prints and run them through psp & fbi database.
